In July 2019 a warrant was issued by the Bernkastel-Kues District Court confirming that a German man was wanted by police relating to preexisting charges of theft.

The man was sentenced to a total custodial sentence of two years for ‘serious theft’, across some 13 separate cases – it is alleged he stole drinks and empty bottles worth more than 6,000 euros.

After the handover took place, the accused was handed to court for prosecution.
