After two cases of COVID were found at the Berufsbildenden Schule Saarburg (Saarburg Vocational School) and the Saarburg Gymnasium, the two school’s classes and teachers concerned are in quarantine.
Extensive testing will be held over the next few days.
There are no further cases in the two reception centres for asylum seekers in Trier and Hermeskeil.
A total of 11 infected people (8 Hermeskeil, 3 Trier) are quarantined in separate areas at the respective facilities.
In total, and in addition to these 11 persons mentioned above, another 21 people are considered positive, 13 in the district and 8 in the city of Trier.
One patient is currently still in hospital receiving treatment.
