Météo France has issued a yellow weather warning for the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle and Meuse on Tuesday.

In total, four departments in the Grand Est region have been placed on yellow alert after storms were predicted to affect the area around midday.

The weather alert will last until 8pm on Tuesday in the departments of Meuse, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Haute-Marne and the Vosges.

The storms are expected to reach their peak around 2pm, with heavy rainfall predicted.

Météo France said the weather would calm around 8pm, although temperatures are predicted to drop.

As usual, residents are advised to take care on the roads, clear balconies and gardens and avoid risky activities between midday and 8pm.
