Police in Trier are continuing to search for a vehicle with Luxembourgish number plates following a hit and run involving a 13 year old boy on 28 January.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 28 January at around 7.40am near the city’s main train station. The teenager was cycling at the junction of Roonstraße and Theodor Heuss Allee when he was struck by a car. The vehicle was travelling along Roonstraße and is believed to have failed to see the boy as he was about to turn into Theodor Heuss Allee.

The impact threw the young cyclist from his bicycle, leaving him with minor injuries. Instead of stopping to assist, the driver fled the scene. According to police, the grey car had Luxembourgish number plates beginning with the letters “CT”.
