Un train percute violemment une camionnette en Pologne
Le conducteur d’une camionnette s’est engagé sur le passage à niveau alors que les barrières s’abaissaient. Le train qui arrivait n’a pas pu l’éviter.

The incident occurred on 1 August in Wola Filipowska, in the county of Krakow. When the barrier at a level crossing began to lower, the driver initially had enough time to clear the tracks.

Instead, he reversed and tried to manoeuvre away from the oncoming train. Seconds later, a passenger train travelling at high speed and coming from Świnoujście struck the vehicle, completely destroying it.

A couple of seconds later, the train carrying passengers on board was travelling at high speed and coming from Świnoujście in Krakow, hit the car.

The police confirmed that, miraculously, neither the driver nor any passengers on the train were injured.

The public prosecutor’s office is currently investigating the incident. Authorities again warned drivers never to enter a crossing when lights are flashing or barriers are down, noting that trains require braking distances of more than a kilometre.
