This information is of particular importance for cross-border workers travelling to Luxembourg from Germany and returning from a high risk zone.

The tests are still free of charge, the state government announced on Wednesday in Mainz. However, returnees from ‘non-risk’ areas can no longer request to be tested at the centres.

The test stations near the border with Luxembourg (at the Markusberg rest stop on the A1 motorway heading toward Trier), France (In den Grabengärten 5, 76829 Landau in der Pfalz (please note: SatNav address: Max-Planck-Straße 14, 76829 Landau) and Belgium (Wankelstraße 16, 54634 Bitburg) are open between 10 am and 6 pm on weekends.

The test station at Hahn Airport is open depending on flight schedules and the return of aircraft from risk areas.
