Two teenagers in the north of France forced a cat into a microwave oven and filmed the shocking incident. The footage was shared on Snapchat. The animal can be seen scrambling around and whimpering after the microwave is turned on.
The animal fortunately survived the extreme act of cruelty and was rescued by a Dunkerque animal rescue charity. The latter publicised the appalling incident on their Facebook page, La Voix du Nord reports.
A Snapchat user had alerted the SPA animal rights and rescue charity. The two teenagers were quickly identified and could be located shortly later. SPA lodged a formal complaint. A family meanwhile adopted the cat.
