In Luxembourg

  • Luxembourg recorded only two new infections in the last 24 hours. The death toll also remains unchanged at 110. 1096 were carried out since Saturday, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the pandemic to 75,432. 3 patients are currently in intensive care (down 4 on Saturday) while another 33 remain in hospital (32 on Friday).

In international news

  • As people in the UK revelled in soaring temperatures by flocking to beaches and parks, several members of the government’s own Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) told ministers they risked a second wave of infection.
  • Bangladesh lifted its coronavirus lockdown Sunday, with millions heading back to work in densely populated cities and towns even as the country logged a record spike in deaths and new infections. Bangladesh reported its biggest daily jump in infections Sunday, with 2,545 new cases and a record 40 deaths.
