Three new cases in Trier and another seven in the district as a whole were reported over the weekend.
Of the ten new infections, three are related to an outpatient rehabilitation centre in Trier, where four people had already been diagnosed with the virus at the end of the week.
The health board has therefore ordered the closure of the rehabilitation centre until next Wednesday.
This closure is purely as a precautionary measure.
Staff and patients who have visited the centre since the end of June are being tested, so that mapping and tracing can be carried out early. 200 throat swab tests have been administered.
56 of these have been returned with results, including the three other positive cases.
Any further restrictions will depend on the further test results to be received in the coming days.
