At the time of writing, the state government has not yet confirmed the plans.
With regards to private gatherings, ten people from several households will be allowed to meet again in Saarland. The region’s incidence rate is below 71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, leading nationally.
At their latest Covid summit, federal and state governments agreed that “temporary model projects” should be allowed in federal states and regions. Saarland could thus become a model region for a nationwide reopening strategy.
