The incident occurred around 8 pm on Monday in the rue Louise in Brussels. According to the official report, a man was seen walking in the street while carrying what appeared to be a medieval lance.
Officers had to use pepper spray to disarm the man in question after bystanders alerted the authorities.
Nobody was injured in the incident, further details remain unknown, however.
