The number of confirmed corona cases in Rheinland-Pfalz increased by two to 7,074.
The number of deaths remains unchanged from the previous day at 235, as announced by the Ministry of Health in Mainz on Sunday.
Currently, 193 people in the state have been confirmed as being COVID positive – nine fewer than the previous day. The ministry reported an estimated 6,646 people have so far recovered.
The reduction is welcome considering the main concerns over a spike coming from a newly discovered “hotspot” in the district of Germersheim.
