At approximately 10.50am on Friday 27 March a car hit a tree.
The force of the collision was such that that rescue services had to cut the man out of his vehicle.
The road was closed temporarily while the rescue was carried out.
How the accident occurred is unclear, but investigations are ongoing.
One of Luxembourg’s Air Rescue helicopters was deployed to the scene.
