All of these new cases came from the wider district.
A patient from Trier has, however, died in connection with Covid-19.
It is the 11th fatality to be reported in the district since the corona pandemic first began.
Three new infections were detected in residents of the Asylum Seeker Reception centre in Hermeskeil.
This brings the number of people infected there to 61.
In addition to those infected persons in Hermeskeil, a further 30 people in the district and the city of Trier are currently considered to be COVID positive.
Five patients are receiving hospital treatment.
