Police reports state that a 32-year-old woman gave birth to her child alone, she then put it in a carrier bag and then disposed of it in a garbage can.
A resident is said to have heard the actions and then attempted to speak to the confused and scared woman.
According to the witness, the woman told him that she did not want the child. The man alerted the ambulance services, and the infant was brought to the children’s clinic.
The mother volunteered to be admitted to a psychiatric clinic and is under observation. The public prosecutor’s office is now examining whether the woman is suffering from a possible mental illness or if an investigation into an attempted homicide must be opened.
