Located at the Messepark, the vaccination centre is jointly operated by the City and the district of Trier-Saarburg. Local news outlet Lokalo reported Wednesday that some 101,944 doses, of which 37,519 were second vaccinations, have now been administered.

The paper notes that some 60 doctors and their teams have staffed the centre to date, with Trier Mayor Wolfram liebe and District Administrator Günther Schartz issuing a statement noting that “the vast majority of citizens who have undergone vaccination at [Messepark] are very satisfied with the facility and service. This show how professionally the employees of the two administrations are handling the fight against the pandemic.”

For reference purposes, the city of Trier has a total population of around 110,000 people.
