The incident occurred just after 9:30 pm as the car was approaching the A30 from the direction of Hayange. The driver, for reasons yet to be determined, lost control of his vehicle on the access ramp.
The car collided with the central reservation, causing it to overturn and eventually come to a halt on its roof.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to revive the driver, who was the sole occupant of the car.
The deceased, according to Republicain Lorrain, was an avid football player who had just started a new chapter in his life with his marriage last year.
