
At around 7.30 pm, a motorist lost control of his vehicle on the RD26B between Hussigny-Godbrange and Villers-la-Montagne.
According to the emergency services, the 40-year-old driver ended up in an embankment on the other side of the road.
There were three people in the car: the driver, another man, and a child, according to the Républicain Lorrain.
The driver died at the scene, whilst the other passenger and the child were able to exit the car before being assisted by paramedics.
The two passengers were brought to the hospital in Mont-St-Martin.
