More than ten cars were involved in a pile-up near Longlier, about 45 kilometres from the Luxembourgish borders on Thursday. The resulting traffic jams caused motorists to be stuck for more than two hours.
One motorist told RTL.be that traffic has stopped completely for an hour and a half near Neufchâteau. The Belgian federal police website confirmed the accident near Longlier on the E411 towards Luxembourg and that traffic is at a standstill. A number of lorries and cars were involved in the crash.
A journalist at the scene reported that there were no injuries, but that around 15 cars, lorries, and buses needed evacuating. He added that this will take some time. At 3 pm, tailbacks reached 16 km, corresponding to a two-hour delay on journeys.
