Following meeting with Vietnamese deputy PMLuxembourg seeks to enhance bilateral relations with Vietnam

Vietnamese deputy prime minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited Luxembourg on Friday for a series of meetings with representatives of Luxembourg's government and financial sector.

The Deputy Prime Minister was welcomed by Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, along with Lex Delles, Minister for the Economy.

The discussions focused primarily on the potential for deepening cooperation between Luxembourg and Vietnam, particularly in sectors such as financial services, trade, investment, and tourism. The ministers also exchanged views on broader geopolitical issues, including the strengthening of Vietnam’s relations with the European Union and global matters such as Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

As part of his official visit, Nguyen Hoa Binh also attended meetings with Fernand Etgen, Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies, as well as with Luxembourg’s Finance Minister Gilles Roth. Further complementing the economic elements of the visit, the deputy PM met with representatives of Luxembourg for Finance, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, as well as the Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF).
