Following President Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council, Israel has followed suit, with the Foreign Affairs Minister writing a letter to UNHRC president Jorg Lauber.

Foreign Affairs Minister of Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, confirmed on X that the nation would be withradwing from the UN Human Rights Council. He stated in a letter to the President of the Council that the decision was reached due to “ongoing and unrelenting institutional bias against Israel, [...] which has been persistent since its inception in 2006".
