After a tenement building with over 700 residents was quarantined, the situation stirred up an atmosphere of unrest that culminated in attacks against the police.

It seems however as if the situation has settled, and police report that there were no incidents throughout the night.

The tenement building has been put under strict lockdown and barriers were erected around the residence. The 700+ residents, who live in crowded and precarious conditions, are still in quarantine.

Activists demonstrated against the draconian measures, which does not allow for inhabitants to enact social distancing. The protests culminated in stones being thrown at police, and gun shots were also heard. Some officers were injured in the process.
