The young woman told “Est Républicain” she had always braked just before the same speed camera in Besançon, then sped up as she passed it.
To date she has received no fewer than 33 tickets, as well as a fine of €2,500. However, there could be more fines in store, as the tickets received on 13 July date back to October 2020. The woman has also lost 37 points from her licence.
The tickets were all addressed to her father, the car’s proprietor, who has since lodged an appeal against the fine as it is 10 months old. It remains to be seen how many outstanding tickets may yet come their way.
