The infection risk in four schools was detected at the end of last week and over the weekend.
Precautionary closures were initiated subsequently in schools in Arlon, Bastogne, Houffalize, and Naddogne, La Meuse reported on Tuesday morning.
The respective schools thus have to remain closed until the beginning of the new academic year in September.
Three out of the four people from the institutions that tested positive for the coronavirus were asymptomatic.
