This has brought the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in France to 16, an increase of 5 since Friday.
France has 949 confirmed cases of coronavirus, which marks an increase of 336 cases in just 24 hours. 45 people are in intensive care.
Authorities noted that, like most coronavirus victims, they were “very old,” at over 85 years of age. Among those who have succumbed to the virus in France, 11 were men, five women, and 12 of them were over 70 years of age.
