A 65-year-old man in Flanders, Belgium, reportedly received food deliveries for years. The problem? He never actually ordered any of the food and now says he's "losing sleep" over the unwelcome deliveries.

65-year-old Turnhout resident Jean Van Landeghem received food deliveries to his home for more than nine years without ever ordering any of the tasty treats, Brussels Times reported.

The victim of unwelcome deliveries reportedly first believed the deliveries to be the result of a mistake in the delivery address but food orders kept invading the privacy of his home for years.

When interviewed by Het Laatste Nieuws, he explained: “It can be on a weekday or during weekends, and at any time of day. [...] I have even had orders delivered to me at 2:00 AM.”

He added that the deliveries, which sometimes take place multiple times per day, are starting to take a toll on his mental health. “I cannot sleep anymore. I start shaking every time I hear a scooter on the street. I dread that someone will come to drop off hot pizzas yet another time.” The 65-year-old has “never paid for anything” and feels bad that the restaurants are losing money, he said.

Van Landeghem reportedly called the police several time but to no avail. It is still unclear who the person is that continues to harass him. “I cannot take it anymore. When I find out whoever has been bothering me for the past nine years, it will not be their best day,” he resignedly concluded.
