
According to the latest report communicated by the government, on Thursday 2,646 people were hospitalised due to Covid-19 - a drop of 94 compared to Wednesday. 219 of these patients are in intensive care, 7 less than the day before.
119 people have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 10,042.
Since the epidemic began, 3,331 patients hospitalised for Covid-19 have died in healthcare facilities in the Grand Est, with authorities registering 18 new deaths in 24 hours.
Although the numbers are dropping, authorities say people must continue to exercise caution as the virus can take several days to show symptoms.
The risk of further infection has also increased with the exit from lockdown and resumption of normal activities.
