This is followed by the district of Bitburg-Prüm with 12 cases. In all other cities and regions, the infection is manageable, with a maximum of 5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
There has not been a new recorded case in 16 of the 36 regions and cities in the past seven days.
More than nine out of ten people who have been confirmed to have been infected with the virus have since recovered.
