Numerous hair salons in the Netherlands opened their doors to customers at midnight on Monday morning, the day that the Dutch government allowed hairdressers to continue their profession after a seven-week break.
Owners had requested permission from the municipality, which had been granted. Customers and both national and local press were lining up outside.
Customers will have to make a reservation, with walk-ins no longer possible. But while appointments may take a tad longer to ensure safety and hygiene measures, both hairdressers and clients are happy to get rid of the dreaded corona hair.
