French police officers carried out speed checks in the municipalities of Florange and Moyeuvre-Grande.
One driver was caught speeding at 101 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. A second driver was racing at 109 km/h in a 50 km/h zone of Moyeuvre-Grande.
Both motorists have been fined €1,500 and will see six points struck from their license for excessive speeding.
They may also be subject to a three-year driving ban.
