German media sources have reported that shots were fired at 1.20pm when a man attempted to rob a bistro on the crossing of Friedrichstraße and Kochstraße. This robbery was not confirmed, however, according to a police spokesperson.

No traces of real gunshots were found after police searched the building. They did come across a cartridge belonging to a non-lethal gas pistol.

No one was injured in the event, and the suspect fled the scene. The investigation continues.
