A 31 year old man broke into an electronics shop in Mont-Saint-Martin, France, on Christmas Eve. Unluckily for him, the store’s alarms went off while he was amassing his loot and the police arrived.
The burglar attempted to escape through the store’s false ceiling, which gave way under his weight, leading him to fall into the shop toilets, where he was stuck until officers caught up with him.
According to France Bleu Lorraine Nord, the man was already familiar to police with a history of theft. He spent Christmas Day in a cell before he was brought before a judge on Thursday.
