IndonesiaAsh and lava erupt from Anak Krakatau volcano

RTL Today
Some minor earthquakes preceded the eruption of Indonesia's volcano, which sits on the Sundra Strait between the islands of Sumatra and Java.

Although the volcano has been shooting ash and lava since Saturday morning, no injuries have been reported so far. With a cloud of volcanic ash arising up to a couple of hundred meters in the air, a level two alert status has been set in place.

A previous eruption in 2018 caused a tsunami which took the lives of 430 people.
