Ocasio-Cortez, a rising star in the Democratic Party who has attracted the ire of the right-wing press, was responding on the floor of the House of Representatives to an incident in which Congressman Yoho, from Florida, confronted her and called her ‘disgusting’ and a ‘f***ing b*tch.’
Yoho had earlier addressed his behaviour by mentioning his wife and daughters, without directly apologising to Ocasio-Cortez.
