The footage of the incident went viral in Spanish and Albanian media. Albania’s Minister of Tourism apologised to the tourists while the owner was arrested.
According to authorities, it had been built three years ago without a permit and the man had not paid any taxes.
It seems that many people thought the restaurant should be avoided, even a TripAdvisor review from 2015 said ‘Whoever goes in that place, probably will be attacked by the owner’, later stating that the owner even punched someone.
