A record-breaking €243 million EuroMillions jackpot was won in Austria on Friday, making it one of the largest lottery prizes in history. The European lottery confirmed the news on Saturday morning.
However, a technical issue at France’s national lottery operator, Française des Jeux, reportedly delayed the publication of the full results on Friday evening, according to RTL France.
This is not the first time Austria has claimed a record EuroMillions prize. The previous highest jackpot, worth €240 million, was also won in the country on 8 December 2023.
The next EuroMillions draw is set for Tuesday, 1 April, with a starting jackpot of €17 million.
