Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler struggled with an injury to his larynx.
Over half a century later, the iconic band bids farewell, as lead singer Steven Tyler struggles to fully recover from a vocal injury.
During their final tour titled "Peace Out: The Farewell Tour," the band had already re-scheduled several concerts to September 2024 due to lead singer Steven Tyler's inability to perform after suffering an injury to his larynx.
Now, the band has announced on social media that the autumn concerts will not take place after all. Tyler 'tirelessly' did everything to restore his voice, but it proved to be impossible. As a result, the band - active since 1970 - made the difficult decision to retire from the stage.
54 years was, indeed, a hell of a run.
The band expressed their immense gratitude to the fans for decades of support.
"Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true."
