Federal police in Stuttgart arrested an S-Bahn driver after he failed to stop at several stations and incorrectly opened doors. He also ranted about his employer and job through the intercom.

With a whopping alcohol level of 2.8 parts per thousand, the 43-year-old driver was pulled out from his cabin by police. (To achieve a 2.8 blood alcohol level an 80kg man would have to drink 20 beers within five hours.)

When the train rushed past the Rutesheim station without stopping, a passenger on the platform waiting for her daughter on the train alerted police. When the man then drove an unplanned loop around a few stations, officers were able to arrest him.

The driver also used to intercom to gossip about his job and employer, a spokesperson said, without (unfortunately) adding details what was said.

The man is under investigation. No one was injured in the incident.
