
The region’s incidence rate has passed 50 infections per 100,000 inhabitants for the third day in a row, leading the administration to partially reverse the reopening of retail on 8 March - only 8 days ago.
Up until now, stores had to limit their number of customers, but shoppers were free to enter shops spontaneously. Today will be the last opportunity for that, although DIY stores, garden centres and bookshops are excluded from the rule.
Rehearsals and performances in culture are prohibited once again. In amateur and recreational sport, physical activity is only permitted outdoors with a maximum of 5 people from two households or, for children up to 14 years of age, in groups of a maximum of 20 children.
“The fact is that the number of infections is rising again nationwide and we can all contribute to containing the corona pandemic through responsible action”, said the district administrator Günther Schartz speaking to Volksfreund.
