An overview of the changes in place in Belgium as of Monday, 8 March.
Last week, Belgium's authorities decided to further ease coronavirus restrictions by giving priority to young people, education and outdoor activities as a first step.
Since Monday 8 March, it is possible to gather outdoors in a group of maximum 10 people. For young people, outdoor activities are permitted as follows:
- for children (under 13) with max. 10 indoors or 25 outdoors
- for young people (-19 years old) with max. 10 outside
- Public sport and training only one person
Finally, funerals can bring together up to 50 people "provided that a space of 10 square metres per person is provided".
Non-essential travel to or from Belgium will remain prohibited until 18 April. This measure will however be reassessed on March 26.
Other additional relaxations are expected to come into effect on Monday, 15 March.
