Musical street
A newly repaved road linking Kaposvár to the M7 highway is providing some musical entertainment to both bored drivers and construction workers.
Rumble strips have been fitted on the side of the road, each in their own size to replicate a note. If driven across at regular speed, the strips, together with the sound of the tyres and road surface, play the molody of “A 67-es út” (Road 67), a classic Central European hymn by Republic.
The editorial staff of Magyar Építők went to the site and recorded this video. What your editor is trying to figure out: does the band receive music royalties each time one drives over it? It is a public performance, in theory.
