
The Ministry of Health in Mainz announced these latest figures on Sunday.
Though this increase is slight, only ten further cases on the previous day’s totals, the number of deaths related to Covid-19 remained unchanged at 234.
According to the data, 6,514 of those infected are considered to have recovered, this in turn means that 161 people in the state are currently regarded as COVID-19 positive.
Most new infections occurred in the past seven days in Zweibrücken with 15 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In Speyer and Frankenthal there were six cases recorded on this basis.
All other cities and districts have a maximum of five new infections per 100 000 inhabitants.
From 14 of the 36 cities and districts in Rhineland-Pfalz, there has been no new infection in the past seven days.
