Hayange police pulled over a driver who was speeding at 146km/h in a 90km/h zone on a country road in Boust this Monday afternoon.

According to the Républicain Lorrain, the 16-year-old culprit did not yet have a driver’s license. He reportedly tried to assume his older brother’s identity when speaking to the officers - but to no avail. The young driver eventually admitted that he was born in 2003.

The 16-year-old is expected to face a judge at Thionville’s teen court shortly.
