The infamous neo-Nazi group Feuerkrieg Division was reportedly led by a 13-year-old boy from Estonia. According to the Associated Press, the unusually young suspect cut ties with the group after he was confronted by Estonian authorities earlier this year. The teenager called himself “Commander” online and was reportedly responsible for recruiting and admitting new members.
The group is linked to plots to attack a synagogue in Las Vegas and car bomb detonations. A spokesperson for the Estonian Internal Security Service told the AP that the police had intervened in January this year “because of a suspicion of danger.”
“As the case dealt with a child under the age of 14, this person cannot be prosecuted under the criminal law and instead other legal methods must be used to eliminate the risk. Cooperation between several authorities, and especially parents, is important to steer a child away from violent extremism,” the spokesman said.
