
The findings, based on responses from expatriates from around the world, show that the Grand Duchy is regarded as environmentally-friendly by a large majority of expats who live here.
Luxembourg performs well across a variety of subcategories in the study. In the Products & Utilities subcategory, 84% are satisfied with the country’s recycling and waste managements systems, while 80% find the country’s energy supply to be satisfactory.
In the Policies & People subcategory, meanwhile, 70% of expats in Luxembourg believe that the local population cares about the environment, while 83% believe that government policies on the environment and sustainability are positive.
The Quality of Environment subcategory also sees strong results. 92% of expats in Luxembourg like the country’s natural environment, with 89% finding the quality of water to be sufficient and 78% rating air quality in the Grand Duchy highly.
Overall, these results place Luxembourg in 10th place worldwide.
