The event, held to mark UN World Cleanup Day on 19 September, is being organised by the regional tourist office of the Mullerthal region, also known as Little Switzerland.
Participants are invited to bring their own globes and bin bags and enjoy a hike through the Mullerthal’s beautiful forests, while picking up any litter that has been dropped during a busy tourist season.
All those interested can register with the organisers by emailing info@mullerthal.lu or calling +352 72 04 57 1, in order to coordinate routes and prevent some parts from being missed.
There is a prize for participants, too: attendees can upload a photo to Instagram or Facebook of themselves with the hashtag #cleanupdaysmellerdall, or send it by email (quality@mullerthal.lu). Lucky winners will receive a souvenir pack.
The organisers remind all participants to maintain social distancing regulations, with a maximum group size of 10 people, and wash hands where possible.
