Not all sectors followed this upward trend. Construction continued to decline, with the situation worsening compared with previous years. The sector recorded a contraction of 0.7% in the second quarter, down from the previously estimated -0.2%.

In its revised figures, STATEC now notes a 0.7% decrease for the second quarter of this year, compared with the earlier estimate of -0.2%. For the first quarter of 2025, the economy is now assessed to have grown by 2.6%, instead of the initially reported -1.9% and the fourth quarter of 2024 remains unchanged at +0.1%.
