A driver already under a driving ban was reported twice on Monday in Luxembourg City, first for scraping a parked car and fleeing, and shortly afterward for being involved in a minor collision.

Police located and stopped the driver. Following the check, the public prosecutor’s office ordered the individual’s car to be seized and a formal report to be filed.

In an unrelated morning incident on the N17 between Tandel and Fouhren, a driver lost control on a right-hand bend, veered into the oncoming lane, and left the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree, a traffic sign, a bench, and a fence before stopping in a field. The driver sustained minor injuries and subsequently tested positive in a breathalyser test, resulting in the confiscation of their driving licence.

Later, during the early hours of Tuesday, police in Bascharage stopped a motorist on Avenue de Luxembourg for erratic driving. The driver also tested positive for alcohol and had their license revoked.
