Messages of congratulations for the President-elect and Vice-President-elect have been flooding in from foreign leader around the world, and Luxembourg's PM was no exception. Writing on Twitter, Xavier Bettel said:
"Congratulations to @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris on winning the #Elections2020. Looking forward to working with you on further deepening the historic ties between our nations and fostering our economic and cultural relations, as allies and friends."
Bettel is not the only political figure in Luxembourg to express support for Biden - Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn suggested there was a better chance of rebuilding diplomatic ties with the Democratic candidate in an interview earlier this week, while members of the CSV and LSAP also expressed a preference for Biden when questioned by RTL.
