In response to a parliamentary question by LSAP MPs Mars di Bartolomeo and Dan Biancalana, prime minister Xavier Bettel clarified that the question of adding the names of the 102 International Brigades volunteers to the Gëlle Fra memorial plaque would be debated by the remembrance committee next month.
A commemorative plaque in memory of the volunteers' sacrifice during the Spanish Civil War was requested by the friends of the International Brigades association.
The committee will meet on 10 February and 2 March to discuss the matter.
